Growth

In nature the process is well illustrated in trees and their growth rings, The summer rings are light in colour and wider in space, showing the differentiation principle and the winter rings are darker, smaller and made of actually stronger fibres that bring structural integrity to the structure ..

The combination of the two is what makes growth sustainable in the long term and allows the tree to reach greater heights and bear fruits.

Under the visible layers of the trunk and its branches the tree also grows down in roots to create the foundations necessary to defy challenges and strive for the light..

You can cut one or ten branches and new branches will grow.. You can even cut the trunk and new stems will flourish.. But cut out the roots and the plant won’t last long..

Underground, the roots actually interlink into a vast network that connect all the neighbouring trees into resilient communities that can adapt and influence the patterns of changes around them.

In this way, at Ubuntu we nourish our roots everyday through yogic practices to ground and centre ourselves.. Which allows us to grow back stronger and clearer when the storms of life broke our trunk.. We are still here, reaching toward the light and sharing refreshing shade and many fruits to whomever wants to nourish their soul..

With love and light

Damien
