THE ART OF LIVING

The Summer Intensives are a platform that allow you to dive deeper into the art and science of yoga. Going beyond asanas these trainings give you tools to live and thrive in this world following the principles of yogic perspectives and understandings..  

This July we’ll dive deep into the science of Ayurveda to explore the yogic tools for Self-care and self-healing. You'll get to approach your yoga practice as a tool to support your health,
explore your organs' functioning, and understand what nurtures health and what doesn’t.

WHAT IS THIS TRAINING ABOUT?

- YOGA PRACTICE
Lots of it. Because yoga is first and foremost an experiential approach. You will explore how to approach your yoga practice in a way that supports your health and boosts your energy levels.

- ANATOMY OF YOUR ORGANS
Because in yoga practice we use our body quite intensely it is so useful to have some science-backed anatomical guidelines.
We will look at what’s going on “under your hood” so that you can support the optimal functioning of the organs that support you.

- PHILOSOPHY AND PRINCIPLES OF AYURVEDA
Yoga philosophy gives us a contextual framework to support our practice while remaining close to the original intentions of yoga. We will unpack the key principles of Ayurveda so that you can heal yourself.

YOGA PRACTICE

Yoga practice will be based on functional Ashtanga, accessible to all yogis with a personal yoga practice, whether Ashtanga or not.. 

  • More focused on holistic approach of yoga than following the “traditional” Ashtanga method.

  • Mysore style as a Self-practice environment to support healing, nourishment, exploration and deepening within a holistic approach. 

  • A space for you to cultivate well-being, grounding and centeredness..

  • Functional and holistic feedback from the daily practice.

LOOKING UNDER THE HOOD

 Functional Anatomy of your ORGANS  (Cardiovascular & digestive) and rituals for Self-care. 

  • theoretical key points as they apply to each of your organs

  • and how to use your organs in practice on your yoga mat and in daily living 

  • Organs being the houses of Emotions, we will explore emotional awareness to help understand yourself better.. 

PRINCIPLES OF AYURVEDA

 Yoga philosophy of the Science of Ayurveda

  • Principles of the 5 elements theory

  • How to apply them in your yoga practice 

  • Exploration of your personal constitution and how to stay balanced

  • Disease and healing from a holistic perspective

  • Self-care rituals to help you connect with your Self and take proper care of your vehicle.

    - 10:30-13:00 Theory class (Alternate anatomy & philosophy)
